Halloween Is Grinch Night

Gets by on its pure, uncut Seussian weirdness. You could fit the story in a thimble, but the visuals are unforgettable.

The Paraphernalia Wagon experience is quite imaginative, but I think we should have left the Grinch reformed and slicing roast beast. This also made me understand an incorrect definition of "euphemism" until 7th grade.

It seems weird to say that a twenty-five-minute program is padded, but hardly anything happens in this; there's as much incident in five minutes of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas as there is in this entire special. It's nice to see the designs from Dr. Seuss's Sleep Book, but there's no meaningful lesson in here, nothing supporting the interesting parts other than an assumption that Grinch = good holiday special.

Halloween Is Grinch Night has nearly nothing to do with Halloween. Besides much of the coloring and designs being orange there isn't a jack 'o lantern or trick-or-treat to be had in the whole affair. One of the songs had some ghosts and scary things but that is about as close as we get to Halloween. There was some fun Dr. Seuss stuff in this show but this definitely didn't earn a place in my yearly Halloween repertoire. I would like to hear what people who saw it live thought of it.

Terrible

its a wonderful night for EYEBROWS. its a wonderful night for TEETH. what a gem. the 70s ruled.

Put your glasses on and face the facts!

Dunno why this faded into obscurity, it's still a fun little short.

Dr. Seuss didn't just write amazing books, he wrote and helped produce some amazing animated specials.
