Basically one big setup for the Marvel multiverse, which looks to be their bread and butter from now on. Hiddleston is as watchable as ever, but his character is quickly de-powered and pushed aside to make way for a more-competent female variant of himself, ultimately becoming a side character in his own show. Overall it's *fine*, but I wouldn't call it essential, which is a shame because the central timekeeper concept had a lot more potential.

Loki is undeniably entertaining but after a point it's hard to care. The plot is more gobbledegook that raises a ton of interesting questions that you can be sure it has no interest in answering or even acknowledging. The character-work is hit-and-miss as this is trying to prop up the least interesting version of its titular character. I wish half as much attention went to the script as went to the production design. Oh well, Loki is clever enough and should please fans of this universe.

The 1st ep, a shamed Loki & the concept hooked me at first, but then it's just a bunch of goofy odd stuff co-starring a female Loki who's stronger because Wokeness. We also learn Loki's bisexual also because Wokeness. Had any of the jokes worked for me I might not have skipped whole episodes & FF'd to get to the finale, which was both somewhat interesting & a giant waste of time. It let me know everything's going to be the same but kind of different now. Wow, no shit, it's just like before.

Ranking this based on the first season, as I never had an interest to watch the second season. This was a nice standalone thing, but it doesn't seem to exist within the MCU anymore. A one-and-done last ride for Tom Hiddleston's antihero, setting up a villain that Marvel would prefer we forget. I liked it for what it is.

Your Purpose is not for Glory, it is a Burden. (Also, what is the rest of Marvel even doing?)

Not bad. Not amazing. Character development for a villain that ultimately is always a villain (in the source material) and does not have these anti-hero tendencies. I'm with the change in direction to a certain degree but I have a hard time seeing Loki joining the new Avengers for example.

The events of this series lend themselves well to the larger picture. It was very well done with the set up and Jonathan Majors was able to knock it out of the park in the Finale so we can get a taste of what is to come for the MCU. Tom Hiddleston was likable and the way he came back and really gravitated towards wanting to show a different side of Loki was intriguing and a smart plan. Wilson was the best part as Mobius and I really hope we see him again after the mid credits reveal.

One of the most imaginative things Marvel's ever done.Loki broadly expands the MCU in very unique and interesting ways.It recontextualises a lot of what we already know and changes the path of the universe in spectacular ways.It sets up and pays off an incredibly interesting mystery that includes great characters(big and small), it includes unexpected twists and turns, while its directing, cinematography and score is some of the best that the MCU has seen.Excited to see where we'll go from here.

I'm not even a fan of Loki but this show was awesome. While Wanda and Falcon were important but not as substantial narratively to the grand MCU scheme, this broke it all open, which makes it exciting. It did a great job of maintaining the mystery, inching us along, with great music and tons of memorable moments. Has typical MCU comedy but doesn't drown it. It gets a 95 because S01E06 is so good, otherwise this is a 90.
