The tagline describes this true story as having a "Hollywood twist", which is just about the best tag line I could imagine for this. It's a great little story. I appreciated that this documentary did not outstay its welcome and came in at a scant 40 minutes.

A short but entertaining story with what has to be a one of a kind twist. Worth a watch.

Its satisfying and funny the way that Juan Catalan was exonerated but this is also a good reminder that the police will, with arrogant certainty, try to stitch up anyone for a crime even if they don't have the evidence

Prosecutorial overreach (and negligence) curbed (pun intended) by a dogged defence, framed as a tale about "what if?" but could have been called "Take Me Out to the Ball Game", and all in the space of a brisk 40 minutes.

A well-told and compelling story of "what ifs" and a dash of overzealous prosecution.

Only 40 minutes, and that's with stretching out some of the story as far as possible, you could pretty much just read the synopsis instead. Instantly forgettable but not a terrible watch, having Larry David pop up is a nice surprise, and the fact Catalan still comes across as shifty proves he really needed this alibi to get off. There's not enough detail included - especially from the prosecution - and for all I know he might still have done it.

This baseball documentary seemed a little far fetched.

Compelling and short documentary where several world's collide. Can't say much more not to spoil it.

"Let me here say one word about Tychism, or the doctrine that absolute chance is a factor of the universe." - Charles Peirce. Kudos to LaMendola for realising that this story only required 40 minutes to be depicted in all necessary detail (as opposed to trying to stretch to feature film length).
