Liked a lot

LOVE LOVE this show and Robert Taylor as Longmire.

"My brother would've been a good man if someone had been there to shoot him every day of his life." Lucian Connally. Really loved this drama and the depth of its characters as well as how I could never predict what was coming next. I found the series ending to be a bit difficult to buy after all the bad guys were disposed of, but overall I would highly recommend this top notch series to anyone. Robert Taylor was simply superb. I really wish more series of such quality were being produced.

After a couple of seasons, it starts to lose the believable simplicity that made me love the beginning.

Justified light

A bit simplistic and naive in its storytelling it still remains one of the better crime shows on television in the last 20 years or so. Taylor is great and the plodding pace is forgivable with a healthy dose of macho cowboy attitude and that western flavor.

Super underrated show. Delivers the meat and potatoes murder mystery goodness without all the oblique pretentiousness of most modern cable dramas, while also being a great portrait of loss and aging. Great Western mood and Robert Taylor has total magnetic macho cowboy charisma. I especially enjoyed season 3. My only real complaint is the Scooby Doo Syndrome of the bad guys, who tend to confess to everything on the spot when Longmire figures them out, like they're unaware of trials and lawyers.

Longmire is a slow burning character study with just enough drama and wit to keep each episode engaging and surprising. Longmire definitely excels thanks to it's cast, who all have just the right amount of star power to create three dimensional characters worth investing in. It is a fun show to watch and an even more exciting show to try and predict, because every time you think you have it right the writers throw in a much needed curve ball to keep things exciting.
