Ron Perlman fits so many conservative stereotypes that it's quite humorous, gas guzzler...check, gun toting...check, multiple children...check, "pro-life"...check, religious freak...check, thinks god talks to him...check, homicidal maniac............check?

Has some gritty CGI-violence. Carpenter's Cigarette Burns, an episode from first season of "Masters of Horror" is better. Still, Pro-Life is Carpenter at his best since "In The Mouth of Madness" from the 90s.

Decent story, decent direction, and terrible acting from all involved, the TV movie of the week dialogue didn't help matters either.

Top badass moment? Whoever designed the clinic must’ve specified really top-draw materials, as even the screaming of his daughter in the otherwise silent building wasn’t audible to big Ron, who, despite his instructions from God to rescue her, was slower than a snail on a Monday morning after a heavy weekend partying, on its way to work as a festival toilet cleaner on minimum wage. Features a baby more messed up than Boris Johnson’s Covid lockdown hair. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.

The pace is right and it has some creepy moments. Effects are a bit better than average on the show and the same happens with acting. Though is not a great thing it's certainly one of the worthy ones.

Extreme as hell -- this Jesus-freak family makes an abortion on a man! --, a typical Carpenterian piece of suspense -- long build-up followed by gory closure --, but also, and above all, a badly acted effort about this teen girl who carries an evil baby, whose father is "a demon from hell" -- see, this is just one of the hilarious one-liners. Her bros and Perlman, the man-of-God-with-guns, fooled by a voice, invade an abortion clinic in what looks like a supernatural take on Assault on Precint.

Cool demon...lame ending. Ron Perlman was cast terribly in this.

Kind of seemed like a fuck-around gig, an inside joke played on financiers and TV viewers (especially the conservative ones). It looked like everyone was having a blast, and loved getting paid to have a blast. Is it any good? Meh. Not a low point by any means, just an aside.

Entertaining short film along with Ron Perlman accepting a role that isn't a piece of shit (which seems to be the only thing he's doing with the arguable exception of Hellboy). Great effects, especially for TV horror. Well worth a watch if you're a fan of Carpenter's other work.

One of the low points of the MOH series. This isn't a waste to watch, but it delves so far into hokey there is no coming back for this episode.

An interesting concept at points, but the whole Devil baby and supernatural aspect ruined what could have been a more realistic and scary premise

Interesting concept, until THE DEVIL! appears. Then it's just the silliest god-damned little movie. The acting is pretty bad and it feels very "made for TV" (not a coincidence, I guess). Still, there are a few redeeming qualities that save this from being complete trash.
