Shrek the Halls

Not quite insultingly bad, there are a few funny moments tucked away in there, but it's still a mile below Shrek 3 which wasn't very good to begin with. It's a by the numbers Christmas special in every way.

Nauseating: fart joke, dance-along to 90's song, fart joke, dance along to 90's song, fart joke. And so on.

Not as good as the shrek movies.

Passable Shrek holiday special. Fart jokes, angry Shrek goes too far with Fiona, annoying Donkey, you know the formula. Family themes. Better than Ice Age Christmas special. At least there's some variety with the short stories. Fav scenes: using a toilet seat as a wreath; seeing Fiona's mother involved with the grandchildren.

A fine inclusion in the Shrek line, though nowhere near matching the original film.

Shrek the Halls is a television special that premiered on the American television network ABC. The thirty minute Christmas special.

As a matter of fact I liked a bit darker Shrek interpretation, though the story was not that successful. And they could make it less predictable, but hey! This is a family concept series.

Enjoyable tale told in the Christmas spirit while having the Shrek characters still remain in character. Could have been made into an hour long special.

It wasn't even good enough to air a 2nd time, in 2008.

Maybe 3 laughs. All very saccarine and unpalatable for anyone who thought that 'Shrek' was clever.

Corny cheesy Christmas cash-in that probably took less time to write than it does to watch. The fact something like this even got made must be worrying for any fans of the Shrek franchise. Animation is okay, everything else is terrible.

Exactly what a Christmas special is supposed to be and I will watch it again next year!

I'm kinda shocked by all the low scores. I'm not normally someones who likes this kind of thing, but I thought it was well done for a little half an hour Christmas special. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the holiday special genre, but I enjoyed it and wouldn't mind it joining the X-mas special rotation with all of the other ususal suspects. So there.
