Started off being quite similar to the Office, then grew into its own characters with some surprising background characters taking center stage. Then it changed the dynamics a bit and lost quite a bit of steam in seasons 3-4, but I still kept watching since I was familiar with the characters at that point. Then it got cancelled abruptly so they at least tied up all the loose ends in 2 episodes. Jonah and Mateo were the worst. Fav eps: Halloweens, Labor Relations.

Superstore is a quirky comedy that's funny and smart, with a good range of characters and a likable cast. The bits of random customers misbehaving in the store is hilarious (and apparently based on incidents witnessed in real life). Though am I the only one who doesn't like Cheyenne & Mateo? though?

I'll miss this show. Unusually good ending.

Maybe the worst offender w/r/t the hot sitcom trend of regurgitating "progressive" Twitter talking points into dialogue and storylines, but also originated a lovely novelty in the rigorous themed cutaways. Most of the cast does very well. Seasons 3-4 are sometimes hysterically funny. Easily more laughs than the US OFFICE, which has somehow mutated into such an outsized cultural phenomenon as to make one want to #BurnItDown #TimesUp #ACAB #WomeninSTEM #POCinSTEM #STEMsUp #NRBQ4L

Much better than it had any right to be. The main Jonah/Amy plot drags on in really bad ways, the whole able bodied dude acting in a disabled role isn't a good look for a show that has a lot of "woke" moments, but overall it was a great five years and I'll genuinely miss having Superstore in my life.

For my money, easily the most watchable new network comedy of the fall '05/spring '06 season. Basically likable cast of characters, relatable but amusing situations, brisk pacing, solid jokes. That shouldn't be such a difficult thing to ask for, but it turns out it totally is!

It started decent, but I just find it distasteful how mean and demeaning Ferrera's character is to Feldman. More and more as the series has progressed. The romance is forced, they are not compatible. Everyone around the romantic leads feel more compelling and interesting. And NICER.

Sweet comedy, delightfully oddball in places.

The series starts slow, but the evolving personalities of the characters begin to transcend the simple set-up of a Walmart-style store to find some true heart. It's sweet, satirical at times, timely (especially the final season which paints an interesting portrait of retail workers during COVID), and above all, consistently very funny.

Funny and witty, "Superstore" is a true gem in the sitcom industry. In terms of quirkiness and goofiness, it is not groundbreaking, but you can quickly fall in love with the characters and the whole show. Nothing will feel as hilarious as "The office" in the genre, but "Superstore" sure comes close.
