Would Donald Trump have become President of the United States if this show didn't exist? I'm inclined to say no. Therefore, The Apprentice is arguably the most consequential TV Series ever made. Not only that, it demonstrates the unthinkable and dangerous power television has on public consciousness.

This show is the only time he ever fired people face to face (couldn't even do it to Omarosa when they were both in the White House), but otherwise this is as close as you're going to get in explaining how Trump thinks - the hype, the cliffhangers, the self-promotion, himself at the center of everything. Watch the relevant Dirty Money episode for the showrunners left aghast at the general public for believing their satire.

Can't stand him, of course, think he's a smug idiot and I thought he was smug idiot back then too. But I like the format of the show, and luckily I get to watch the far superior Apprentice UK now.

While it does have the usual trash you see in a lot of reality TV shows,at the very least the competitions in this show made sense in relation to its premise. That said, much of business related aspects of the show are very shallow and narrow compared to how complex business is in the real world. I also thought Donald Trump was too tame in this show - he was portrayed as a straight-laced businessman rather than the completely arrogant asshole he is in reality.Still, Omarosa was funny to laugh at
