Albert S. Ruddy supposedly having all this happen and we are all here looking past him going yeah whatever what is Robert Evans up to.

This is egregiously bloated, but that somehow works in its favour. I’m certain roughly 10% of this is based on historical fact, but the writing is snappy and the cast is a slew of gems. Miller, Temple, Gorman, Fogler, and Ribisi all shine, but this show belongs to Matthew Goode as Robert Evans. Before the plot established who he was, I knew by his uncanny performance. He’s endlessly watchable. Way too long but defiantly entertaining.

It started off fine but they made it way too many episodes. There isn’t enough story for that many episodes. I enjoyed watching it but never actually finished it because I finally lost interest.

The decision to tell this from Al Ruddy's POV instead of literally anyone else involved in making The Godfather is fundamentally flawed from the get-go, but I cannot hang through even a single episode with writing this lazy and direction this mindless and on autopilot.

Absolute nonsense I'm sure but still extemely entertaining and I binged the hell out of it. Really fun river of ham performances from Matthew Goode as the legendary Bob Evans and Ribisi goes with a truly bizarre choice for his performance.

Quite entertaining especially if you're a fan of the Godfather. While the series focuses on Teller's Ruddy, Goode gives arguably the performance of his career as Robert Evans and he's the MVP of the show for sure, though Temple and Fogler also deserve credit. There's certainly a little bit of narrative padding and it tails off a little noticeably towards the end but otherwise it's an enjoyable standalone season of TV for those who love The Godfather.
