Hilarious and underrated rockumockumentary and Beatles parody. The songs are incredibly spot-on.

Too much imitation, not enough satire.

Decent spoof. Not really up to Monty Python quality (which was I was expecting with Idle and Palin working on it).

I didn't like it that much. It's humor was very hit and miss, and was often repetitious. The music just sounded like really bad imitations of Beatles songs (and I know that's the point) but the lyrics were not funny at all (which seems like it should have been the point). The cameos were pretty great though, especially Mick Jagger and Bill Murray. Would only recommend to the most hardcore of Beatles fans.

Great parody of all about Beatles. Beatlemania, music, members. All presented as pseudo-document.

Has some inspired moments, but the conceit isn't enough to carry the movie. Fun if you are in the mood for something that riffs off of every possible angle of the Beatles experience, and probably more interesting to us Olde Fartes who lived through it than it would be to Young People.

FAR superior to their "inspiration". Nice cameo by George Harrison by the way

Idle is my least favorite Python, I find him hammy and irritating. This Beatles spoof has some good gags, but a lot of it is either too obvious or just stupid.

Em honra de Neil Innes (1944 - 2019). Voltei a dar quatro estrelas pra esse mockumentário porque as músicas paródicas do Innes aqui são mesmo sensacionais. Youtube.

A must-see for Beatles fans, Python fans, and classic SNL fans. Sure, it's funny enough (I won't spoil any good jokes here) but the big surprise and best part of the film are the great songs.

A really funny movie. Eric Idle did a great job. A must see if you are a big Beatles fan. If you don't like the Beatles then you will miss most of the jokes.

A marvelous pseudo-documentary, originally shown on NBC-TV and with various SNL alumni, which captures the development of the Beatles and '60s rock with devastating effect. Served as the inspiration for "This Is Spinal Tap."

Underwhelmed. Jokes ran thin as it was too long. Could have been squeezed down to 30 minutes.

Amusing and clever at times, but not as funny as it could/should have been. The interviews can be a bit tiring, but the songs are great and stand up pretty well next the real thing, quite an achievement in itself.
