Virtually EVERY SINGLE piece of dialogue is obvious exposition or over-dramatized nonsense. I guess if you don't know what went down, it's worth watching, beyond that there is absolutely nothing here other than "wow he looks like him."

Informative, and it does a good job illustrating how precarious the economy really is.

Great story, but they got that from real life. Some great acting, especially William Hurt, and some nervous looking bankers. OTOH how did Paul Giamatti get an Oscar for this? He's barely on screen and does not do a lot of "acting" when he is! Soundtrack and locations took a back seat for this one. Direction left a lot to be desired - too much exposition, too litte framing or composition, almost as if Hanson had as little time as Paulson.

There was a rush of told you so movies made about the collapse. Sometimes it was confusing as to which one was which. While this one is star studded, you may as well skip it and watch The Big Short.

Acting was good but really another HBO political tv movie that can't really get of the ground. Its actually dreadfully boring, though insightful, and really any amount of writing or acting couldn't have saved that, so I supposed no matter how big this ever got, it was destined to fail.

son dönemde iyice parlayan finansal dramalar arasında daha iyi yaptığı şeyler de var daha kötü de, ama genel toplamda, bir film için "genel toplamda" dedirtecek bir film.

Mildly entertaining to see big name stars playing parts filled by Washington lackeys and "Captains of Enterprise" but mostly a repeat of what we've seen several times before in doc format and told better. The US got screwed by greedy people and the world got to join in on the fallout.

The best film to date depicting the American Economic Crisis of 2008. A look into the failure of the world's biggest business firms and the true essence of the "Free Market" and just how "Free" it is in reality and the need for Government regulation and intervention at the time of crisis. The acting carries the film, but the script could have been better meshed together. Too much unfolded in just an hour and thirty minutes. This could have easily been a 2:15 Hour film. Overall, I'm impressed.

Well-acted drama dealing with the GFC of 2008, a timely and prescient topic; unfortunately film is too dry and talky, even if the information being presented is worthy and interesting. Woods stands out in a first-rate cast as a hot-headed executive; Hurt and Giamatti are also reliably great and like much of Hanson's work, the film is expert at creating a believable and realistic evocation of the world in which the characters exist.

The most star studded forgettable film you'll ever see. It's not that I didn't learn anything. But I didn't learn anything important.
