Started off pretty interesting. Than got lost in needless cliffhangers and suspense slowly becoming completely unrealistic. It isn't true to it's characters either.

Started good, with an interesting take on the psychology of a sociopath stalker, even when taking into account the over-the-top soap-opera shenanigans. The ending for season one was clearly a TV-only cliff-hanger, and season 2 had to try and make sense of it. Definitely worth the watch if you can stomach the melodrama and the nonsense; it's both insightful, funny, and batshit crazy.

While it does have a twisted charm in seeing life through the perspective of someone so messed up, it does get bogged down in a lot of inconsistencies and just straight up unbelievable circumstances. He is just too lucky.

[Season 1] Expertly utilizes the genre trappings of romantic comedys and thrillers to make a show that is easy and thrilling to watch. The show also mixes in just enough social commentary to ease the feeling that you are watching something inherently trashy. SLIGHT SPOILER: Unfortunately, the complete embrace of the genre trappings at the very last twist of the season cast the whole show in a morally murk light, tainting the overall viewing experience.

Super crazy plot and you really have to leave reality at the door when walking into this, but I was engaged and horrified - so a pretty solid outing I'd say.

It made me deeply uncomfortable, the way a prolonged, 10-hour acid bath into toxic masculinity should make you uncomfortable. It's a pretty good show that upends romcom tropes to show you the rot underneath.

Have I watched better shows? Yes. Did it make me uncomfortable at first? Definitely. Did I still have a lot of fun watching it? Absolutely It's funny how you go from hating the MC's guts to thinking "yep, kill her" when you're a couple seasons in lol. All in all: great show, interesting idea and I like how they change things up from season to season

I'm obsessed with this show and this kind of show typically isn't my genre but man I'm stoked everytime time a new season is released.

The show is quite good. There are, of course, some illogical parts, unrealistic luck and profoundly dumb detectives and police... but overall it is pretty solid. The narration is an interesting look in the mind of a stalker/serial killer. I'd say the series are a soft version of Dexter.

(I've only seen the first season) | I don't think it lives up to what it sells itself as. Would be more interesting if the writers didn't jump straight into killing people and hackneyed sex scenes.

You explain that childhood traumas make us up, especially regarding the toxic masculinity that we deem necessary and natural in the teaching of aggressive and dominant actions for young men. I don't think the series would like to pass this on, but lately I've been studying a lot of feminist theory and I'm casting my critical eye everywhere. :) Worth it. The series is thought provoking.

With season 2 wrapped and a marathon of both seasons back to back...I'm just gonna say this show will give you trust issues. The best prop I can give the show is that it's quite interesting once you get into it because it tackles a lot of things that we all struggle with as humans and as a society as a whole. Unfortunately, the show lacks coherency, it feels all over the place with how many subplots it throws in and some episodes are a little too filler for my liking. Interesting watch.

Both seasons start off great, with an addictive atmosphere and great chemistry between the protagonists, but they end up alienating the viewer from pretty much all the characters. Still, it's smart and contains some spot-on social criticism, but the plot relies too heavily on coincidence and irrational behavior. Falling in love with Elizabeth Lail and Victoria Pedretti is completely inevitable.

The setup and chemistry of the actors had some potential, but takes what could be a deep dark productive treatment of the subject and treats it with the plot development skill of a cheap soap opera - feels like writers got Netflixed into not scaring or challenging their audience and so this devolves into sickeningly unhinged trivialisation of pathology for the sake of 'entertainment'

What a daring, gutsy narrative. It's amazing that in such PC times this was ever greeenlit. You is self-aware, insightful, witty and ridiculously gripping. Penn Badgley's performance is unreal. The characters are well developed, novel, smart, and interesting. For a Lifetime/Netflix melodrama, it's profound, unique, funny and extremely well written. The social and moral commentary is rich-the pendulum swings in every which way and the writers are having a ball with your cognitive dissonance.

The show starts strong but quickly descends into psycho rom-com designed for teenage girls who find the MC charming and think they can "fix" him.

This story is crazy and horrifying but oddly addicting. You cheer for Joe all the while cringing and knowing you shouldn't be. It's wild! Good job show writers.

It's well-shot and well-written if nothing else. There are laughable/unbelievable parts but it is wholly entertaining. Some funny parts as well. It keeps you hooked if you're into stuff like Dexter or Mr. Brooks.
