It's no Veronica Mars but it has that sweet clever thing going for it. If you can get past the ludicrous concept it can be one of those filler shows you binge while waiting for new seasons of your favorites.

McIver flexes her versatility in iZombie, making the show an enjoyable romp. The weekly cases can be a bit hit-or-miss, but the show relies on the chemistry between cast, which it has bucket loads off. The overarching plotlines are always focused on the characters and they undergo a significant amount of growth in the 5 seasons the show has been running. Plenty of quirky humour, and a solid final ending.

Been binging and enjoying this show for the past few days. The chemistry between the cast is off the charts, but it does have the stock relationship drama of CW shows.

Stronger earlier seasons. Mainly 1 and 2. What makes these great is the absurd contrast between the goofy main plot and the fairly grim Major side plots. Unfortunately, the characters (esp. Liv) get really flanderized by the end, and the relationships between the characters have beeen so twisted around it’s not worth watching.

Just a ton of fun. Rose McIver and Rahul Kohli especially are great in this. The changing personality gimmick keeps this otherwise procedural show feeling fresh, although there IS a good overarching story for the series that's good.

Gave it 5 episodes: Charming lead, dumb/repetitive premise.

Very fun show to follow from start to end, though I was actually glad that it finished. I wish there was less fillers, that the renegade and max rager arcs didn't happen, and that Blaine didn't get relegated to secondary character for half the series, then this show could have been a 7 at least.

Basically Veronica Mars but with more brain-eating. It follows the same format, crime-of-the-week being solved by a spunky young heroine and her associates, with smart twists and razor-sharp dialogue, while a slow-burning season arc is slowly uncovered. Not the greatest thing ever to hit TV screens, but it's a winning formula and very watchable. I've no idea what the fuck they were smoking when they came up with that show title though.

The gimmick is that coroner's assistant Liv is a zombie and she takes on the personality of the person whose brain she eats, and also has visions from the person's POV which helps her solve crimes in partnership with an actual detective. It's a shame the rest of the characters are all absolutely insufferable, because their dumb plot lines disrupt this otherwise enjoyable procedural. Also, in later seasons the writers lose all restraints and Liv's personality shifts become too extreme and silly.

I like most of the main characters, however, there are one too many similarities to twilight/vampire dairies/etc that irritate me personally and make it difficult to get immersed in the show. It doesn't help that several characters are sometimes handed idiot balls that when passed around punch holes in the plot. Also, this could just be my opinion, but the antagonist was really weak. If all that doesn't bother you please enjoy, but if it does I'd suggest you skip iZombie.

Even though the characters make a lot of stupid choices, the show is fun.

The premise is absurd, it lacks any charm, and the cop looks like he's bored of his acting gig. This is no Veronica Mars.

Neat enough concept but it's just mediocre overall, weighed down by uninteresting cop show.

A little too Hot Topic for its own damn good.
