Bleeding Steel

I could totally recommend this. It's bad, it's broken, but it's not bad for production values and there's a furious kineticism that makes it a fun, wild and bewildering trip. Plus, Jackie....who wants to tell someone don't watch Jackie, even when he's failed he's charming and irresistible.

This one is a mess, it's an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink kind of plot and none of the elements are very well developed or interesting. When it comes to martial arts stars past their prime, this beats a heck of a lot of stuff JCVD's been doing, though.

I'm fan of Jackie Chan and his movies. And ı think he should keep making new films but not like one. His previous movie (The Foreigner) was a great politic suspense / action movie and he was terrific. But this movie its just too complicated... Vengeance, Mystic Arts, Astral Plane, Cop Movie, Martial Arts, Comedy, Futuristic, Super powers, Supernatural stuff :.. I mean its just messy and shitty..

Why was there a spaceship though and only just one. Nobody else had spaceships, nobody seemed to think it weird

It is bad, but I have to respect the sheer absurdity of the final fight.

It's Jackie Chan trying hard, even if he's no spring chicken. If you love Jackie Chan, you'll enjoy this even if he's long passed his prime by this point.

It started off pretty good then went downhill.

This movie started out great before crashing and burning in a pile of shitty flames, entertaining shit but shit non the less. A lot of people hate on this movie and while I can certainly see it I myself found that I enjoyed it on a late ‘80s early ‘90s level. The action was fairly good if not too realistic but man the comedy bombed big time. Also nearly an scene without Jackie Chan was a waste. The main female girl was cute enough but really nothing more than that. Big dumb superhero fun.

Chinese Hollywood. It is fast, visual, but little empty.
