Beatles devotees won't learn anything from this, but will enjoy it nonetheless. The target audience is really for those who enjoy the music, but know only the broadest strokes of their story.

If you like the Beatles, you're going to like this film. Simple as that. And since I do, I did. They're just endlessly fascinating as a phenomenon. I don't know that it does anything any other Beatles documentary couldn't do, but yeah. I kind of wish they'd just done the entire story of the band. Because, while it does focus on the years in which they toured, it's not only about that, and yeah, I wouldn't have minded it it was a multi-part mini-series or something.

Enjoyable & maybe it's just me but a little melancholic too

Enjoyable nostalgia trip contains no new information for even the most casual Beatles fan (this Gen Y-er included), but the visceral thrill of seeing many seminal performances playing out in full (and beautifully restored) definitely makes for a compelling experience, even if the talking heads provide precious little input of interest (though Goldberg provides a touching fan-girl story). The fixation on screaming fans for the first half becomes somewhat repetitive.

No, there's nothing particularly revelatory here. But director Ron Howard, who put together the 2013 Jay-Z concert pic Made in America, catches the exhilarating kick of Beatlemania as the band toured 15 countries from 1963 to 1966.

Can always eat up more Beatlemania. Hard to tread new ground with this great band, Howard does mange to strike an emotional chord towards the end with the groups final live performance.

The archival footage was mildly interesting, but how much screaming fangirls can one take? The film is probably only worthwhile if you have a particular interest in the Beatles.

Some nice footage, great sound and an interesting if not already well covered subject. I didn't see a ton of new things but its still pretty amazing the profound effect this group had in a short period of time.
