It's a short piece, but it is a deeply loving tribute to Lovecraftian mythos and the state of the moviemaking art in the days before sound. It may not be the best movie ever made, but a lot of work and attention to detail went into it, and I can't wait to see The Whisperer In The Darkness, their next cinematic endeavor of which I'm aware.
Criticker.com - the Best Film Recommendations on the Net!

Still, for a lot of us, it was our first memorable exposure to that national treasure, "We Need A Wacko Who'll Do Just About Anything For A Paycheck, Someone Call Brad" Dourif. Like Ripley, Chucky is an iconic character who deserves the respect they got in the form of only one actor ever performing the role.
