Regardless of era I think the docu is pretty superficial about how it discusses Arnold's career. They miss out on a lot of really notable movies in his career and the politics episode skips over some notable pitfalls in his time as governor. I think it suffers by leaning way too much on Schwarzenggar's side on everything and mainly relying on his perspective, which is especially weird when they avoided interviewing his family who would have likely given their own interesting insights.

Buff piece but doesn't really go around his faults either. Interesting.

Arnold has had such a fascinating life and has been such a fascinating person. I learned several new things about him and his life from this series, but couldn’t help notice several contradictions and wondered how much of what he says in the film as truth is actually “shmay.”

All in all it looks like a well made promo for what I'm assuming will be Arnold Schwarzenegger's 2024 presidential campaign.

Schwarzenegger clearly sees himself as the embodiment of the American dream, here narrating the story of his life by focusing on describing an approach that has consisted in constantly visualizing goals and perpetually moving forward. While that might sound like a man not given to a great deal of self-reflection, in fact he comes across as fairly open and perhaps as having gained significant insights about himself and the world along the way.

Rather superficial, but still much more fun to watch than the recent show.
