There's so much fun stuff going on in the course of the four hour running time that I didn't particularly mind that plenty of it has been done much better before.

I'm assuming this was supposed to go on for a few more episodes because nearly every story thread is left unraveled and frayed like a ball of yarn donated to the Salvation army after crazy aunt Getrude died. The dialogue is stilted, the actors are second-rate, and the science....oh, the science. I can probably stretch my imagination to believe they had the tech to build that ship in the 60s, but the handheld tablet computers? Those things have better resolution than my Motorolla Xoom.

While incomplete, Ascension is somewhat entertaining. The ideas aren't bad, though they were mis-marketed upon release. The script is a little stilted, but the 60's drama blends well with the sci-fi concepts presented.

Conceptually fascinating and fun. Enough for me to overlook the god awful screenplay and several horrible performances.

The ending was so fucking bad it dropped my rating from a 6/10 to a 4/10.

Interesting yet flawed premise (the 60s? - give me a break), but pretty lame on the whole (despite some decent ingredients). It felt like there were sparks of talent involved but the whole endeavor lacked ambition to elevate it above mundanity.

Boring plot. Flawed characters. Gave up on the 3rd episode.

The mission is only fifty years old, but where are the old people that remember Earth? Did they get euthanized at age 50-something? The council member character looks old enough. Ineptly copies Twin Peaks. The Earth scenes aren't good, but the shipboard stuff is fun at times. I was expecting the events at the end of episode 2 to turn out in a less obvious and more interesting way. The story is mostly nonsense, there's not much point in wondering how it would have turned out.

Molto bello il concept, un po' meno la realizzazione però, che approfondisce poco temi e personaggi; inoltre è stata cancellata quindi resta tutto in sospeso e appena abbozzato.

I thought this miniseries was interesting enough, but it seemed like they were hoping it would turn into a new BSG or something, and it just wasn't at that level, so it was never picked up for series like that was.

Great premise with a horrible screenplay and the worst casting in recent memory. With the exception of Tricia Helfer, and the airlock guy from the lower deck, every member of the cast seems to have been cast for their appearance and nothing else as the acting is downright awful The lighting is among the worst and most contrived I've ever seen, so bad that this is probably the first time I'm mentioning lighting in a review.

How can they end a mini-series with so many cliffhangers? Still enjoyable, non the less, but I want more, damnit!
