Starts with a rush, rather flops apart by the end, which is a shame.

Der Überwachungsstaat ist in Großbritannien für westliche Verhältnisse stark und da gibt es diese Politikerin, die ihn noch stärker machen will, womit sie sich Feinde in verschiedenen Lagern macht. Dass ihr dazu noch belastendes Material über hochrangige Personen zugespielt wird, erleichtert die Arbeit ihres neuen Leibwächters nicht, der selbst mit seinen eigenen privaten Problemen zu kämpfen hat. Recht spannender Verschwörungsthriller mit ein paar Ungereimtheiten.

With gripping action, nailbiting tension, and heaps of political intrigue and espionage, Bodyguard is one of the greatest TV shows I've ever watched. I was invested from start to finish, and was genuinely invested in the very human feeling characters.

The beginning is incredible. The rest... not so much. Still pretty good for a TV drama, worth watching.

Solid edge of your seat, action packed drama. shame about the plot holes and episode 3.

Keeley Hawes carried this whole series. Madden is very wooden. Writing is subpar; had high expectations bc of Line of Duty but all the tension build-up leads to nothing.

This show was so good. So, so intense, in a way a show hasn't felt for me in a long time.

Bodyzzzzzzuard.

The first few episodes had me hooked and filled with great expectations. When Bodyguard hits, it hits hard but unfortunately it ran out of steam towards the end and became a little bit anti-climactic in addition to making it a bit easy for the main protagonist to escape a certain scenario despite being watched by an armed SWAT team and a helicopter in central London. This felt a bit lazy and predictable which is a shame.

Tense and interesting, very promising. (1 episode)

Tense and well crafted in the first four episodes, it falls apart somewhat in the final two with the various antagonists' motivations revealed (and absurd plot devices). David Cameron exists in this universe, and the fictional PM began in 2016, so Brexit must have also happened. This feels like happy escapism that the only thing everyone's talking about is terrorism.

Starts off as an intensely gripping thriller, but the fire from the first two episodes slowly peters out over the course of the season. Ends up being a little too generic and ultimately disappointing because of the great start.

Tricky to rate with its inconsistent quality (especially in the dull third episode). Bodyguard is a mostly solid Thriller series with its suspenseful scenes being better than most Hollywood Thrillers. The finale rivals Phone Booth in its long, drawn out suspense. Highly recommended for those willing to stick with it until the end.

Plot holes and implausibilities aside a solid thriller series.
