I've got a real soft spot for this a probably enjoy it more than it deserves. It is however occasionally surprisingly dark and the SF on display is admirable.

Continuum has one of the strongest opening seasons I've seen. Unfortunately that momentum doesn't carry into subsequent seasons. When the show is good, it's the perfect blend of time travel sci-fi and human struggle. Other times it's a meandering mess that seemingly has no end in sight. Luckily the finale is a resolute conclusion to the series that is in-keeping with the tone. The cast is great and the characters are (mostly) compelling.

A sometimes interesting story told in a tedious and sometimes tiresome way. By season 3 I was so tired of the music and contrived drama that I could not take it anymore. It felt good until it became the same old thing over and over. Ultimately it falls far short of its potential. It devolved into something like a cheap cop drama and the sci-fi backdrop became stale. They simply failed to keep it fun and exciting.

Although the concept was cool, and the storyline did keep me wondering, most of the acting was horrific, the pace was dulling and after 1.5 seasons the writers seemed to have no idea where to go next. In the end it got overly complicated, which meant the only thing going for it (the storyline) went overboard.

Continuum is a show much like Life On Mars albeit with a SyFy feel a little bit like Battlestar Galactica. Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols) a detective from 2077 is inadvertently brought back through time as she follows a group of terrorist attempting to flee through time and setup a base of operations in the past from where they can affect the future. Kiera solicist the assistance of the boy who will develop time travel and together they fight the terrorists who are now loose in our timeframe.

I like the sci-fi concepts, but overall found it cheesy and cheap. Only saw 2 episodes, I'll admit.

A show that started out with a pretty interesting concept, but didn't quite live up to it. I like Rachel Nichols and some of the other cast members, and there's some decent sci-fi throughout and a good enough ending, but I think it should have been compressed down to less seasons.

Horrible editing, horrible dialog, horrible sound levels. Good premise but they ruined it by making the fascist cop the good guy and the freedom fighters the bad guys.
