I really enjoyed the first two seasons, but then it seemed to all fall apart in season 3. Not sure what happened, but the flavor and details got tiresome and tedious. Acting also seemed to be significantly worse in season 3. Also the moderately bombastic music increasingly got more annoying. I suspect a change in management that degraded it badly. Then again, maybe I just got tired of all the serial killers.

Can be interesting in small doses, but I absolutely get reaching ones limit with this one. Still...before giving up on it completely, if you can, watch the episode called "Entropy", in season 11. It's one of the most interesting, compulsively watchable hours of network television I can think of from the last 20 years, and Matthew Gray Gubler and Aubrey Plaza are stupendous in it.

Getting so tired, silly and repetitive that even the long-term main characters are getting tired of it and starting to leave. Mandy Patinkin was smart to leave after the third season before the show completely and totally jumped the shark sometime around season 5. The real BAU doesn't even travel to crime scenes, they sit in their office in DC and provide profiles remotely. They don't meet the victims ever and they play no direct role in apprehending the criminals.

Slightly less idiotic than CSI, but still pretty shitty. The characters are all one-dimensional cliches which range from being bland and boring to annoying and insufferable. That aside, there's the usual bullshit you'll see in crime shows like this: the tech person's absurd ability to somehow find data that shouldn't exist, the protagonists violating FBI policies constantly and the absurdity of serial killers killing dozens of people on a weekly basis. Then, this show wants me to take it seriously.

A great comfort show for me. I come back to this time and time again when I need something playing in the background, or something fresh but familiar.

Very inaccurate to how criminal investigation goes, but that doesn't matter when it's got such interesting plotlines. The b-plots with the characters personal lives are so-so. Almost unwatchable after S12, imo, if you get attached to any of the original cast. Also, hate that they just throw nonsense at Reid.

only watched up to about 11 until i got bored asf, restarted about 2 weeks ago and really enjoying it. season one is the best season, unforgettable plot lines and amazing characters. i dont care what people say about this show i enjoy it. my favorite episodes are ones that really include the main characters (like 2x15). unless im doing something else while watching (crocheting, playing a video game) i can only watch like 1 ep at a time before i get bored

While at times I found this fun, it requires way too much suspension of disbelief way too often for me to appreciate it.

It is distinct compared to other shows of the same genre, it relates the lives of the characters to the work they do and digs into them. However some of the resolutions are just too nonsensical. Maybe it is because my intellect does not offer more, but sometimes I have felt that no matter how you see it is impossible to arrive at the conclusions they arrived.

Great show, likeable characters with a slightly diverse cast, namely a genius with autistic leanings. Each episode has different serial killers.

Darker than most of the procedurals of the past decade Criminal Minds tries to up the ante on sedistic and obscure cases. For the most part it has a cast worth caring about and cases worth seeing through to the end. The only downfall is the predictability that each character will get their own generic and cliched subplot to try and add a little more flare to the show. Stick to the weird and the whacky with the cases as that is the centrepiece as to why the show was created in the first place.

The best (Gideon) and the worst (Greenaway) characters left the show after the second season. (Elle left midseason). After that Criminal Minds has become a mediocre show. Not the stoic face of Hotch nor the unrelated statistics given by Reid could've saved it. It started with a bang and still silently keeps going only thanks to Americans fascination towarda serial killers.

The BAU team have recently caught their 200th lunatic serial killer and are still going strong. Ridiculous and revolting murder porn for a desensitized mass audience.
