Eastbound & Down

I finally finished up Eastbound & Down. I watched the first two seasons around the time it came out. I never watched season 3 or 4 before this viewing. The first season is definitely the best. It's the tightest. The second season was good but there were some episodes that were a little flat for me. The third season also was filled with some highs and lows but I really loved the addition of Jason Sudekis in this season. The fourth season was more low than high but I enjoyed how they ended it.

Low iq humor

S1 only. Low brow and largely unfunny. Especially Will Ferrell.

Great comedy with amazing characters, story can be ehh, but that’s not why u come here, u come for the top tier characters

I watched this after liking Righteous Gemstones a lot, and I expected to like this. But it's just not funny. Sometimes amusing, rarely laugh-out-loud funny. The "punchlines" are usually a character saying something vulgar, not actually funny. It's mean natured and sad, not a comedy. Maybe it was good a decade ago, but at best it hasn't aged well.

Seen through every season except the last season.

This series is one filled with timely jokes and a character destined to be an arrogant and self centred lead. McBride is tremendous as is the supporting cast who always shines when called upon to back up McBride. Definitely raunchy and not for everyone, this series is the epitome of what I enjoy from a comedy series. The world needs more Kenny Powers
