What a maddening and fun dinner-time American show. Nothing like shouting out the answer first through a mouthful of lasagna to show off your random knowledge. Trebek pretends as though he knows all of the answers...but he doesn't.

It's the greatest game show of all time. Alex Trebek is perfect as the host and no one in television history has given more shit to the contestants and they love him more for it. I love trivia and this show will make you feel like a genius or a complete dunce regularly. I've seen episodes where I've known the answer to almost every question and others where I'm like I have literally never heard of any of this. It's a show that I hope never ends but with Trebek at age 75, the end is sadly near

Probably the single best tool for exposing the flaws in the American education system cause every teacher tried to write their own Jeopardy game for a quiz or test study session. Teachers tell kids to answer in the form of a question when the question wasn't even in the form of an answer. I've come to accept I am not the smartest guy in the room, but at least I'm not one of the army of morons who can't even get the basic formatting of Jeopardy right, let alone any of the trivia. Humanity sucks.

One of the most interesting of the 80's TV shows, its informative and fairly entertaining with the competitive factor. Trebek is wonderfully dickish at times.

It's mostly quizzical questions which can border on being trivia, but you definitely do have to have a lot of understanding of the subjects presented to be successful on the show. Personally, I love it when topics like "Richard Nixon" pop up because stuff like that is something I could readily answer easily. For the contestants however, not knowing much about a topic can be a detriment, especially when luck becomes a factor later on with the daily doubles and final jeopardy.

The definitive trivia game show of the century

I like Alex Trebek. He's very like a person that keep to himself and doesn't seem over the top. The show is about answering questions. Exactly like Trivia Pursuit but here you get to see other people succeed or fail. So it's ok to watch.

One of my bucket list goals is getting on this show.

For good reason, "Jeopardy" is now practically synonymous with trivia game. Three things that elevate it above imitators: 1) the categories are consistently clever, 2) the questions (answers) are the perfect balance of possible-you-know-the-answer and possible-to-make-a-strong-contextual-guess, and 3) Trebek is the perfect amount of condescending.
