A few references to the original and it was nice seeing Ozzie again Cool kills especially the dude getting split in half Although the rhymes and corny jokes were a bit much Better then most of the sequels

If you watch this movie and DON'T take it at face value or have watched any of the previous Leprechaun movies you are definitely gonna think this is a really bad movie. If you know what you are gonna be watching it's a decent enough comedy horror with the return of the not so nice Leprechaun.

While Lila was a sympathetic lead, the Leprechaun felt like a lame effort. I wish there'd been better one-liner writing since that was his whole shtick. I ALSO wish they would have dropped any attempts at serious character building or weaving tragic background stories connecting the new characters to the first instalment. It would have been way better had this accepted being C tier hammy horror and ran with the ridiculousness. I mean. Your main villain is a sexist Irish gremlin.

Leprechaun Returns eventually hits its stride, capturing the tone, the spirit, the dumb humor and high gore the series made its name on. It's not exactly a revelation, but after Leprechaun Origins tried to continue the series WITHOUT anything that made it beloved, Returns is a solid mulligan. We may not have Davis, but we can have the rest we came to see, and I'll take it. Now I have hope that, in the right hands, we can continue this bonkers series, leaving Origins to burn in a dumpster.

It wasn't terrible but it's not really good either so I guess it fits right in with the rest of the franchise.

worth a watch

Much better production quality and special effects than a few previous attempts, though not all deaths were spectacular, and some of the magic were not improvement from past cheesy tricks.

I've watched every Leprechaun and I'll watch every new one but this movie is worse than this one-sentence review.

I'm not saying watching this was worth it for "Werner Hertzcock" alone, but...

The best Leprechaun film in years. Totally erases the crappy remake from our minds
