I watched the original show back when I was young and it was decent. So I was never a big fan but this was still disappointing. The dialogue was shitty, the voice acting was mediocre at best, but overall this just felt bland and forgettable, disposable fluff.

The show ain't that bad but it miss led so badly. Also, 5 episodes per season was a bad call. They give the season break somewhere terribly to do. That's why people have gone mad. And they're right but actually, it's not that bad in terms of the "What If" type of story. But it's too radical for a series titled "Spiritual Sequel of the original series". Cuz it's not! Edit: After saw the 2nd season. This is a disgrace, the storytellers and producers just trolled the audience. RIP Kevin Smith !

Yes, it will be flippantly dismissed as the Teela show. Crisis on Eternia removes He-man from the picture, a large threat to all changes the landscape. Teela's personality is way off-base. If meant to continue things, it hugely alters everything, with no way to go back, so it's not a love-letter continuation. (rewritten with 2nd half- wow, every time I think they couldn't pile the shit any higher- they sure did it. Score 40 points lower after second half)

This score is for the first 5 episodes which I believe are the first half of a 10 episode season. Firstly the art style is excellent and it was nostalgic seeing so many childhood favourite characters again. However the decision to immediately 'sideline' many of the most iconic characters was a huge disappointment especially when what is left is fairly dull drawn out storylines with really poor voice acting. The cliffhanger gives hope but the ride to get there is Eternia-ly disappointing so far.

İkinci beş bölümle notumu 74'ten 64'e düşürdüm. 2021'de #IzlediğimFilmler : 222. Masters of the Universe (2021) Kevin Smith'ten bir ters takla bekliyordum, ama beni şaşırtmayı başardı. He-Man sevenler kaçırmasın. Beğenen de, gömen de çok olacaktır. Ben yeni bölümleri merakla bekliyorum. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ok, I totally get why people hate this, but it's actually amazing. This is a case of bad expectation management: trailer promises over-the-top He-Man action, and the first half of S1 is mainly about world-building and actual story arcs + growth of secondary characters. Then people settle for that, and it's suddenly an over-the-top cheese-fest again in the second half. However, if you embrace it all, it's frikkin glorious! Just wallow in the visuals, man.

I wanted to wait until the last 5 episodes came out. They played with the expectations of the fans who were looking forward to He-Man and got Teela instead. A support character in the original. At least not what I expected. The last episode, however, does raise some hope for season two...if there is one.
