Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Of course it's awful. Of course it's moronic. Of course it's cheesy. But when you're 10, there's nothing cooler. And to this day, I like quoting "Ahhh! After 10,000 years I'm free! It's time to conquer Earth!" in everyday conversations.

This was a little before my time so I didn't really watch that much of the older ones as a kid. Coming back to watch it now, it's hard to give it any leeway with nostalgia. To me, the show is at best mediocre. It's nice to see where it all started, but it's hard to get past some of the cringe writing and dated affects. The song is always gonna be a classic and Jason David Frank is the backbone of the franchise. In the end, I respect what its done for the franchise, but I don't love it.

Falls in the Saved By the Bell/Full House subgenre of shitty shows with this weird nostalgic appeal that prevents me from fully hating them.

Hate to admit it but i actually watched it - I even liked it. [shivers]

Luckily I was too old for this show when it came out but from the dozen or so episodes I have seen, I know enough to know it isn't good.

It's dumb but as a kid I loved it.

Man, I honestly want them to explain what their intention was for getting "teenagers with attitude" as the people they wanted to protect and save the world, that sounds like a plan that'll backfire really hard. The action was pretty sloppy and the storytelling was laughably moronic, but I can't really bring myself to hate it. I loved the villains and the people who played them, I also really liked how Bulk and Skull developed as characters throughout the series. Dumb, but not unbearable.

A classic show that started an enjoyable franchise. Not without its flaws, but when its good its a classic, even if it could be too formulaic for its own good.

As a kid of the 90s, this was my jam. I enjoyed it all the way through Power Rangers in Space, but I got tired of it after that. Of course, it's incredibly cheesy if you try to watch it back as an adult, but there's still some nostalgia found there.

Hated this as a kid. Awful.

Bulk and Skull *killed* when I was 4.
