Norm Macdonald: Me Doing Standup

One of the top people in comedy for me. As equally important to me as Letterman is to him, so it's hard to fairly "rate" this. It's not the best standup I've ever heard (or even where he's at his best, despite his devout love for standup) but there's a lot of great stuff here. The News bit kills me.

I just want to hang out inside Norm's head for a day to see what the fuck is wrong with him. Pretty sure he is some sort of sociopath. The best bit is his tangent about the pie making of widow Hamilton.

The cheese sandwich bit is gold, gold, gold.

Norm MacDonald still has it, and he is still great. I wish they gave him a lot more episodes of his Sports Show, which felt like he never left the SNL news section.

I don't know much about standup but Norm is probably my favorite comedian. This is a very enjoyable set. My favorite bit is probably the one about the news. Definitely a great showcase of the delivery and stage presence that makes me such a big fan of Norm.

A great set from the funniest man on the planet.

Norm is the greatest ever. The phrase "cheese sandwiches" shouldn't make me laugh as much as it does, really.

Haven't heard of Norm before, and I'm completely not impressed by this performance. Charisma can make even average comedian funny, but that's exactly what I didn't find in Macdonald.

Pretty damn funny.

Maybe his greatest set. Unfortunately I have to dock the copy I watched some points for cutting almost a third of what you can hear on the CD (40min vs 60min, and most of that missing 20 minutes is as good as the rest), and bleeping over him obnoxiously. Make sure you can watch an uncut/unbleeped version or get the audio version instead.

Listen, I know that the old chunk o' coal was not for the mawkish, and he had no truck for the sentimental. But, if something is true, it's not sentimental; and I say in truth: that I love you, Norm.

Seen: 2. Probably the best set from the world's funniest inappropriate uncle. Death, cheese sandwiches, alcoholism, a blowjob to end all blowjobs, gay pride parade.
