Nothing better than ensemble comedies where each and every character is funny. None of that "goddamnit, it's a Lisa episode" in this one.

A lot of goodness compressed into a tiny handful of episodes. "Dragons are fantasy. If there's magical talismans, or a magic sword, or wizards, or fucking crazy, not-real animals, all these basic things that break the laws of reality, that shit's all fantasy. I'm into hard sci-fi. Fantasy is all bullshit."*girl walks away*

The rare comedy that works for me. Comedy films and TV rarely makes me laugh, so if I get one or two laughs per episode then I consider it a smashing success, and each episode of Party Down pretty much delivered. I also happened upon this show at the perfect time in my life. Much of Henry's character arc is so relatable. And the reboot managed to remain faithful to the originals while adapting to the current times. The whole series was such a pleasure to watch and I yearn for a season 4.

I've loved everything I've seen that Rob Thomas has done, and this is no different. I just watched this for the first time this year (2020) and I really liked it. Solid cast, great list of guest appearances, and just a lot of funny. I do wish it lasted longer though because I feel like there was more they could do with these characters. Season 3 wasn't as strong, but still fun.

The show took relationships we have seen again and again and TV and breathed new, hilarious life into them. Especially in the duration of the second season, the show did a wonderful job of developing its characters and giving them a chance to earn their wings, so to speak. By the end of the show, I could not wait to start another show that starred Adam Scott, Lizzy Caplan, Martin Starr, Ken Marino, or Ryan Hansen - they were all that good.
