Terrible SF, terrible cast, terrible writing, terrible effects, terrible direction... err terrible.

Jurassic Park if Jurassic Park sucked. So... Jurassic Park III. Terra Nova is Jurassic Park III: The Series.

It is good, but not good enough. The setting is interesting and although I understood the contrast they wanted with the surrounding wilderness and the happy-camper environment of Terranova; it doesn't work that well. Sixers angle is good, but Mira cannot carry it. Lucas is not a good enough villain. The special effects are good, the story is okay; but a more survivalist story as first season could have taken this to a second season. Now it looks like it got 69.5 in an exam it needs to get 70

This is obviously a show that was going to be far too expensive to keep up, but I loved the idea. Instead of solving climate change they just go back in time to the dinosaur age to avoid it. Time travel, dinosaurs, and some other interesting sci-fi elements? It was a great concept. That being said, the individual stories and characters weren't quite as well thought out as the overall idea, although there were a few memorable roles. I wouldn't mind rewatching this at some point.

On a personal note, I was devastated by this show's early cancellation. Grounded by Stephen Lang's magnetic personality and some very well realized special effects. Terra Nova never had a chance of being the next Jurassic Park, but it gave it a genuine try. A try worth watching no matter if a second season ever gets made.

Too farfetched and too unbelievable. Character development was poor and half the time we didn't have a clue where this was going. Yet I found it kind of interesting and entertaining.

Loved everything about this show - setting, characters, story... then it went away. It was like Firefly. Something brilliant that burns out too quickly

Started off kind of interesting if a bit ridiculous, but became way too contrived, melodramatic, trite and nonsensical as it went on, naturally resulting in it being cancelled after only one season.

Silly Fun. I liked the cast, and I was able to turn of my brain for 40 minutes to enjoy it.

An interesting premise , if not a bit silly. Unfortunately talent like Lang is mostly wasted on contrived boring plots.
