Scandinavians are just too good when it comes to crime/mystery shows. No doubt the gloomy atmosphere of the region makes this easier. Incredibly thrilling, brilliant storyline, interesting characters and decent acting. Bron/Broen is simply outstanding.

It flirts with your suspension of disbelief but never becomes complacent. Great characters and a very entertaining affair to binge. Recommended!

(After Season 4) Good acting, good thriller. Suffers from a few illogical lapses, a non-realistic view of autism (you'd think such a high-functioning person on the spectrum would have understood some basic social norms at Saga's age), and a pace that could have been a tiny little bit faster. Later seasons were better than the first, making it easier to care for Saga. They also make better use of Sofia Helin's spectacular acting.

S1 - 69 It starts quite slow but comes together quite nicely after a few episodes. The biggest problem is that it's shot in the dark & also very low lighting with very little colour. Even daytime, inside office etc is poorly lit. Else I would have rated this higher.

S1 3/10 DNF. Weak acting and terrible script.

Held my interest although convoluted overall and nonsensical in parts. Also, what's with these Sheldon type characters? A highly intelligent and observant officer but even after a long policing career is unable to apply these skills to understanding the most basic rules of human relationships! I'm sure in another decade or so these post Rain Man characters will be looked back on as 'acceptable at the time'.

The Bridge started out as just another crime series. But following Saga Norén's character development really made the series special. Even after Martin left the series, Henrik filled the hole arguably even better and created new interesting storylines. The Bridge ended in a satisfying (and the correct) way, closing the story incredibly well.

Just finished season 3, and am mourning that I will have to wait possibly more than a year to see Saga again! This series has it all for me, plot twists that keep you hanging until the season finale, flawed but sympathetic characters, and bits of humor here and there. Sofia Helin is an amazing, nuanced actor.

Nearly perfect. The charachters have depth, great acting, beautifully filmed, nice premise and a decent ending (season 3). I love the charachter of Saga Norén, it's played amazingly well by Sofia Helin.

(Seasons 1-4) Great nordic crime series, it has one serial crime case each season and then there's the great character development and drama along the series. Saga Norén is an unforgetable detective having a character with obvious lack of empathy issues (probably Asperger), but not the typical edulcorated one you see in other movies/series. In my opinion, the series gets better every season and all together show an interesting evolution for the characters involved.
