Don Messick, Mel BlancMel Blanc was born in San Francisco but moved to Portland at a young age. He started in radio but later he would voice his first cartoon character in "Picador Porky" where he played a drunken bull. He would go on to voice some of the most beloved characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, and Tweety Bird among hundreds of others. He was known for his range as a voice actor, nicknamed "The Man of a Thousand Voices", he is considered one of the most influential people in his field.
Born Herbert Theodore Bergman in New York City, he majored in journalism at Columbia University, and then began his acting career in the city, eventually working on Broadway. Best known as the original voice of Fred Flintstone. He also appeared in multiple films, such as The Tarnished Angels, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Viva Zapata! (as Pancho Villa), Nob Hill and various other films. He died on June 14, 1977.
