That a dim schlub like Barney landed a fox like Betty instilled unrealistic expectations in my young brain.

More goofy than funny, but kind of camp and quaint.

Unfunny cartoon based on THE HONEYMOONERS.

Archie Bunker & the Honeymooners were already prehistoric, so this recontextualization was more real than reality. Take a bunch of McCarthy era salarymen & put em in a creationist vision of earth & we’ve somehow made the republican world view feel authentic. Red Scare Dinotopia is pretty cool, and has clever world building. The most backward aspects of them are ironically their postindustrial class stratification & gender roles (pre-agrarian societies were more egalitarian, supposedly?)

This show was a blast to watch when I was a kid. I am glad this ended after 6 seasons unlike the other Animated shows that are still running like 20 years etc. Fred Barney a classic in this. Even Wilma and Betty.

Not a fan of this show, similarly to it's futuristic (yeah right) counterpart, The Jetsons. It's mostly boring crap.
