The ultimate "watch when you stay home from school sick" show.

"The Price is wrong bitch" ( Happy Gilmore) I used to love this show as a kid...So many different games on this..As this was one of the more with variety. Bob Barker used to be the host of this. Everyone liked him even if they didn't understand english. I used to like the guy climbing up the mountain game and catchy song to it..I always loved it when he reach the top of the mountain and the guy would fall off..Then other games as well

There are much worse ways you could burn a day off of work/school. Although, admittedly, I now only watch this show waiting for March Madness to start.

Used to watch this all the time as a kid. I think it was mostly during summer vacation, since I don't remember missing much school (the time during which this aired) Bob Barker was probably the best game show host of the classic era (70's-80's) I don't remember him hitting on the young female contestants, like a lot of other game show hosts (looking at you Richard Dawson!) Bob was pretty much the Fred Rogers of the game show circuit.

The highlight of staying home sick from school as a kid, and still a bit of a guilty pleasure. Carey struggled to make the show his own the first few years after he took over, but now seems to have found a comfortable persona. I usually only like game shows that are heavy on trivia (eg. Jeopardy, The Weakest Link), but this just oozes so much charm.

As far as game shows go, this was pretty bland. I never thought any of the hosts were entertaining nor did I think too many of the games were fun to watch. It's basically akin to just watching others gamble, which can be pretty entertaining in a certain context, but here it's about as simplistic as it sounds. Most of the fun I get from this show is watching random videos on youtube where something unexpected happens or someone makes a fool out of themselves.

Not a game show guy but the original Barker run of this was pretty entertaining.
