The Rosie O'Donnell Show

Made during the time when Rosie was pretending to be (1) nice and (2) straight (remember the Tom Cruise thing?). Generally awful, but I'm sure the women who watch daytime TV loved it.

She started out strongly and built up a reputation as the 'Queen of Nice'- that she then shattered with a really uncomfortable attack interview on Tom Selleck regarding the 2nd Amendment. Ah, memories. Sometimes, when true colors come shining through, it ain't pretty.

Rosie is a fat, annoying idiot who passes off too hard on trying to come off as "nice" but ends up being insufferable. This show is labelled as a "comedy," but I fail to see where the jokes are. It's nothing more than a terrible soapbox for a women who has extremely narrow minded opinions about subjects she clearly knows little about. Not to mention she was often times a mean spirited, hypocritical cunt who screams at guests and bullies others. "Queen of nice" my ass.

Rosie's warmth, honesty and enthusiasm was contagious, and not negated by her passionate views. She has always remained calm and compassionate in debates, and I don't understand why anyone (hardcore conservatives?) would dislike and completely misrepresent her. She just really brings out the sexist, lookist, intolerant asshole in a lot of people, clearly. I'm an independent, and I'd be buds with Rose.
