Indicative of the jail time Stone is about to serve for being one of the biggest shills in history. Alternate title: I present to the court Exhibit A.

Stone's ownership of his total scumbaggery is probably the thing that really makes this documentary. Stone doesn't try to spin his tactics or tricks, but openly admits that the ends justify the means for him. Depending on your political leanings, his ends may be even more disturbing than the means.

The US has always had great potential but won't be taken seriously outside its own borders while it gives so much of its attention to daft characters like this. Sort it out folks!

the first 75% is filled with interesting realities of an even more interesting political/media system. stone, unarguably, brings a lot of charm and sharpness to more ridiculous perspectives, so it's nice to give the loon a podium from which to speak. awesome informative content, its central drive just loses steam in the latter half.

Interesting inside look at Roger Stone but probably a bit longer than necessary. Shows all the players have known each other a long time. Hard to believe everything Stone says, though, given his penchant for lying. Fav scene: showing details of Stone's home, including his office and closet.

The use of "Stone's rules" come off very similarly to Errol Morris' The Fog of War and The Unknown Known, but I felt that this movie came up way short of either of those. It was entertaining and interesting but the whole time I had this sense of wondering whether Roger Stone's activities are actually noteworthy at all or if he's just a master self-promoter. Maybe that was one of the points, but he gets a ton of screen time to promote himself and it got a bit tiring.

Solid insight into Stone & the people involved with him throughout his career as a political operative, who then are neatly tied into the Trump campaign. Trump himself is hinted at during the earlier depiction of Stone's career, then slowly erodes into the screen time, arguably receiving more than Stone in his own doco. Impressively the (left wing/communist) filmmakers didn't drag us through an irrelevant childhood sequence, as they knew what we are after is the Stone dirty trickster content.
