Believe it or not, there was a time when a man who looked and acted like Joe Don Baker was leading man material. Never forget.

Terrible. Joe Don Baker has all the charisma of a rotten lump of dough.

So long chum... 15 points for the Hoyt Axton song and the bravery of the writer to create a protagonist with zero charm and appeal, and for Baker being born to play that role.

Apparently the intention of this was to be funny. Unfortunately, it isn't. Contains what has to be the most asinine scene of all time. I'm serious. The thing with the kid. I mean, somebody actually thought incorporating the "saying everything you're saying" gag into the dialogue would be a good idea? At least the Baker vs Olsen battle at the end provided some goofy fun. Then Joe Don does Martin Balsam the favor of shooting him just before the credits. Wish he'd had one more bullet for me.

I think the fact that the first time I saw this was on Mystery Science Theater 3000 speaks volumes on its quality.

Damn silly

The movie is a god awful confusing mess that is beyond terrible. The MST3K episode featuring it is gold.

This might be the worst movie I've seen. It wasn't even bad funny; it was just bad. MST3K couldn't even get more than a couple lame chuckles out of me.

I watched this twice and still couldn't remember watching it long enough to remember to rate it until weeks/hours later.

It's almost so-bad-its-good... the equivalent of George Costanza with a badge and without the laugh track. The scene of domestic violence over the end credits, played for laughs, needs to be seen to be believed.

Plot makes no sense, acting is terrible, and the 'protagonist' is one of the least likeable characters ever to spring from the mind of a 'writer' (term used very loosely in this case). BUT... Mitchell given the MST3K treatment is easily a 99 in my books, and is probably my favorite MST3K, and I've seen over half of them...

This film is really slow and it never really gets going. Joe Don Baker tries his best in the lead role but the script is bad and the action tedious. Overall this movie is a mess.

Christ the protagonist is quite unlikeable the "action" is boring and the "romance" horrible. Which made it perfect for Joel's last episode on MST3k.

Oh, Joe Don Baker.... you were the least appealing lead actor ever. At least you were playing an unappealing character. Why are we watching this? Why would anyone do that to Mitchell, Joel?
