Vincent Cassel was entertaining though I wouldn't say his acting was good. I disliked each and every character and I was extremely tired of them after the 10-minute mark and I had to sit around for another 50 of their bullshit before anything even remotely interesting happens, yes it is over an hour in before the story actually starts and it's only an 85-minute movie.

A bizarre and hilarious movie with ingeniously different role for French leading actor Vincent Casel. Brief appearance of Monica Bellucci.

For some reason I thought that this was a slasher, but it's closer to a French Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's still very much it's own thing - and a sort of a Christmas film. There's some wild camera work / mad energy which reminded me of "Dobermann". Cassel goes all in and is like Borat's scary French cousin. The script leaves much to be desired and doesn't really sum up what it's trying to say. The ending goes overboard, but individual scenes are strong as is the sense of impending doom.

Vincent Cassel isn't allowed to go full sicko mode often enough, and his over-the-top performance here is fun, but Sheitan has no real story and spends far too long with the detestable main characters just fucking around to pad out the runtime. Also has the dumbest final 5 minutes I've seen in a long time.

Mildly amusing due to Cassel.

Suprisingly funny and I like the atmosphere. Plot is unfortunately a little light.

My face began to ache in sympathy with Cassel while watching this, he never lets up on that crazy eyed maniacal grin.

Vincent Cassel is off-the-wall amazing as the unhinged Joseph. Sheitan is worth watching for his performance alone.

Vincent Cassel is always good and this is entertaining for all of its 90 minutes, but it does leave a bit to be desired for a horror fan.

Twisted French variation on the Deliverance concept, with Vincent Cassel giving a completely loony and unhinged performance as the creepy patriarch of an inbred clan of psychos. The set up stretches credulity a little, but the finale is unreal, with a tone that swings wildly from acid soaked fantasy and black comedy to brutal horror. I just wish that more of those obnoxious city kids got killed.

While a lot of it didn't make much sense and the direction is on par with a music video, I was amused quite a bit by the film. The dark humor coupled with the atmosphere made for an entertaining ride, and Vincent Cassel totally sold Joseph.

Its funny and insane, the horror part could have been a bit more build out but it was damn entertaining as it is.
