Anaconda 4: Trail of Blood

decades pass, movie technologies evolve, but in the anaconda series (I have no idea if it`s ever gonna end) CGI keeps getting worse and worse, acting gets more like a primary school play, death scenes become less and less creative... In the 8th movie it`ll be just a sock puppet in the shape of a snake and a glass of tomato juice I guess...

That poster is hilarious. A black snake (which isn't black in the movie), the guy on the right looks like he's singing his heart out in a dramatic opera and the girl's tits look bigger in the poster than in the movie. Acting is awful, as is the writing. Example: "Gah, gah, gah, gah, WHY! gah, gah, gah". That's an actual line. Characters are boring and uninteresting and the story uninspiring. I HATE 'Evil Animal' vision!

I think there were a couple good / funny death scenes. To tell the truth though I really don't remember much about this one, we watched it after Anaconda 3 and I had a helluva headache the next day.

Anacondas: Trail of Blood is a marginal improvement over its predecessor, although that's not saying much of anything, as almost anything would have been better than that. The special effects are still awful, the acting is wooden, the entire production is dull, and this time around, the anacondas barely even factor in. The only reason it's better is because you can follow along from start to finish without becoming too confused. To be clear, that's not an endorsement of the film.

Even though the camerawork is a bit better compared to the previous film the pacing in this one is worse.

They should stop. And let the bloody snake die. For ever.

The background sound is quite OK as it triggers suspense, but the movement of the snake and the casts' acting are below par. Anaconda in a clean European forest? Nah, it's unbelievable. Seeing the snake explode in the last scene was a relief, but another anaconda suddenly slithering itself across the screen before the lights turned black was doubly spurious. They just keep making these huh? Horrendous CGI, porn level acting and impossible to understand accents. Best watched if you riff in your head. Or not watched. Both would probably work.

This movie does not have 1 interesting character. The script is terrible and the special effects are badly done. Overall this movie is garbage.
