Between The Rock's charisma and Corddry's comedy, this show is such an easy watch. It's not objectively a great show or anything, but it's still one of my favorites that's on right now.

I love The Rock but man it is just so bad. The pitch for this show was just "hey, let's make Entourage but with sports and black people!" It's rarely funny and they do that stupid cliffhanger Entourage ending where they may or may not resolve the conflict next episode but hopefully you'll forget it so we can show you more boobs. I made it through 7 episodes before abandoning it. A toddler could write these scenarios and stories.

The first 2 seasons are really watchable as it's easy to root for the political incorrect underdogs Johnson & Corddry. It starts going wrong from season 3 though shifting focus from the NFL players to new stadiums etc. season 4 was the absolute low point as I just found the whole story arc implausible and more and more political correctness creeps in. Corddry gets to shine a bit in season 5 but it's still more of the same and the esport element didn't interest me. Horrible sappy ending.

I don't think the portrayal of a lot of elements are realistic here, just some of the negotiations, front office, and general agency stuff, especially NFL just doesn't fully click. However, I absolutely love this show. It's entertaining as all hell and The Rock and Rob Corddry are a great duo, and John David Washington is quite good himself. Being a big fan of the NFL and NBA, it's nice to see some of the cameos also thrown in. Through almost 4 seasons so far, I recommend this.

I avoided this show for years due to the stink of Entourage it had around it but in reality its charming and funny and just enough drama to keep things moving on a story. The Rock is immensely watchable and Corddry is hilarious. A fun supporting cast too.

This is a role tailor made for The Rock and he nails it. Funny, witty, dramatic and insane at times Ballers takes an in depth look at how the NFLs best manage their money. For as many big houses, beautiful women and fast cars you see Ballers also focuses on the behind the scenes emotional struggles these men face. A great show that never plays one emotion and that is what makes it special. Rod Cordry is the comedic relief most of the time and it sure is gold.

Got through episode 2 of season 2 before I finally asked myself - Why am I watching this? You can overlook the misogyny all you want (I did for Entourage for a long time), but come on, at least take us somewhere narratively. So carelessly unfocused.

One of the most easily digestible TV shows from the past years. It's not very ambitious, but Johnson, Corddry and Washington are amazing and the NFL setting is a huge plus for me. (3 seasons)

Perfect role for Dwayne Johnson, and the supporting cast is excellent as well. The plot is pretty light, but the acting is so good you don't care. Entertaining and occasionally hilarious show.

A show about life after the NFL could be great, important television. This is not that show. This show is bad, and shockingly tone deaf for a year that isn't 1994.

It's clearly on a whole higher stratosphere of quality from Entourage, the show it initially appears to be a sports version of. But it didn't grab me enough to make me a regular viewer.
