Forces one to acknowledge how good Sesame Street actually is at what it does.

This was my favorite show back in the day. Oddly, my sense of time would almost entirely be related in "Barneys." Me: "Mom, how long 'til we get there??" My mom: "Not long; just three Barneys."

I was way too old to watch this, but having young relatives, I can tell you this stunted their brain development for sure.

Unwatchable even as a kid. Jared Fogle as Barney was an interesting casting decision. We should've seen it coming

If the aim of this show was to somehow make kids even DUMBER then it definitely succeeded.

Way too cutesy and full of fluff to be of much educational value.

There's a reason why by the time most kids hit around age 8, they resent Barney. Awful, grating songs and preschool level of lessons that only toddlers would find appealing{granted, that's the main demographic}. That aside, I don't think Barney is that creepy. Compared to shit like the Burger King, the Teletubbies or Micheal Jackson he was pretty much small time compared to all of the other creepy predators that existed in the world!

Surprised to see that this came out when I was only 6. I remember hating it from the very beginning. What made this worse than most garbage of its era was that it had songs that seemed to get played everywhere and were insanely annoying.

I remember a rumor when I was a child that the original guy in the barney costume hurt himself one day and swore a whole bunch in front of children and had to be replaced.
