Utter trash, but also repetitive and tiresome.

One of the most grotesquely awful, bizarrely watchable TV shows of all time. Like, every second of it makes me weep and despair for the human race, but if someone puts it on I almost always find myself watching.

It was dark times in my life as a kid when this was all I could watch on TV.

This is one of the shows I actively dislike.

The bane of my existence at college was seeing this garbage on at every dorm. Springer seems to know his guests are trash and somehow remains pretty dignified, but this is a train wreck with no redeeming value whatsoever. The dregs of talk show culture.

I'll argue that its appeal lie not only in the trashy trainwrecks it featured, but also because Springer himself is a really talented host.

It's what you expect: trash that's interesting in its sheer level of trashiness.

This is the definition of a guilty pleasure. It's like watching the aftermath of a bloody car wreck and being unable to look away.

There is a certain draw to this trashy circus. Wanes greatly in the later years when it was more forced and staged.

This is quite possibly the most trashiest show you could watch on TV. At times seeing these absolute wrecks of people come on TV to make fools of themselves can be pretty damn entertaining, on the other end it's just really grating and juvenile to watch regardless of whether or not it's entertaining. But hey, on the plus side, at least it's aware of how trashy it is and doesn't try too hard to preach some sort of agenda or moral.

'Guests' all playing 'Jerry Springer Show guest' characters, a tacky kind of performance art, don't like it.
