Imagine going out of your way to force political propaganda into a science fiction show. Welcome to The Twilight Zone

Bears less of a resemblance to any previous incarnation than to Paul Kinsey's spec Star Trek. For real: the Ginnifer Goodwin episode is literally 50 minutes of "what if ICE took WHITE PEOPLE?!" that stops dead so her maid can deliver an audience lecture on remembering the names of the help (it + almost every other ep was written by a white hack). "Blurryman" is the single worst Zone ever produced (if you didn't see where that was going...cripes). "The Who of You" is awesome at least, watch that.

I always thought Rod Serling was one of television's greatest writers, and this version of his original invention greatly reaffirms that. The original series was so clever, and this one is......not. I wanted to like this. I gave it a fair chance, but it falls flat. It's not creative. It's a dumbed down version of the original. Why must everything be dumbed down? Serling wrote the blue print. It shouldn't be so difficult to copy. Charlie Brooker does a much better Twilight Zone with Black Mirror.

Such a disappointment. So many copycat shows made, yet they had to purchase the original property to load with political commentary instead of uncanny sci-fi. I truly don't understand the purpose of their agenda... destroying a beloved classic isn't an effective way of getting people on your side. Then again, this seems more like a lecture than a conversation starter on any of the issues raised. The fact that nobody reviewing this show, good or bad, can focus on the content is a serious issue.

The theme is not my cup of tea and the series made no effort in quality to change that.

Saw the entire first season. The one-hour episodes are too long. And really I'm disappointed with it, especially compared to the much more fun and bonkers "Room 104".

The kid-prez one is such a hyper-real experience. It's just this affirmation by comparison we're in TTZ already, with an equally absurd joke president despite literally zero experience; only playing moneybags on a game-show yet incompetent enough to bankrupt a casino (+ more failures); trailing his phony university (+ other fraud), making up racist conspiracies (+ more bigotry), even raping a 13 y/o (+more sex crimes), and nigh CERTAIN kompromat;. And STILL so many idiots think its normal.

I never watched the original, but was intrigued by the promise of updated yet traditional sci-fi. I was sorely disappointed. Changing the cast each episode should have kept the show feeling fresh, and the actors are actually good. Unfortunately the writers seem to relish grinding every ounce of American-centric socio-political commentary from their plots to make their point at the expense of a balanced story. S01, I liked episodes 1,2,8,9.
