Alien from L.A.

Starts sorta-promisingly but quickly devolves into an ugly mess with an incomprehensible plot, terrible pacing, and the most annoying lead actress ever. Kathy, hon, stick to modeling.

People from a city underground who have never seen the surface speaking with Australian, British, America, and German accents? Yeah, well-- No sunlight or plants whatsoever, but there's wood everywhere? But yeah, well-- A Kathy Ireland who admits in the first scene she gets sick riding in cars, riding in a car in the second scene. But, but, but wait! The waitresses from Atlantis say your food is 'coming down' instead of up, because...they're underground! Now THAT'S attention to detail!

It's always fun how they try to give the "ugly-duckling" treatment to a model just with big glasses and sloppy clothes. Nope guys, still a hot woman, just with funky taste. But deliberately giving your protagonist the most annoying voice imaginable is a strange filmmaking choice. Not that it's making things THAT much worse.

A woman who sounds like an anime girl on downers ends up in a secret world of Australians on downers and none of it is interesting in any way whatsoever. I do like the 80s dirty industry sets, but there's a million better films for that. Feels more like a fugue state than anything else.

I mean it’s kind of cliche to call this movie bad, it is, but it’s mostly just boring. Had some hopes for it.

I always thought Kathy Ireland was more attractive than Cindy Crawford but her voice and acting will make your peen shrivel.

the movie is terrible no doubt, despite the gorgeous leading lady, however MST3K does a WONDERFULL riff of this film in one of their episodes. good times.

Watch for Kathy Ireland, she's the only redeeming thing from this turd. Really, just watch the making-of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue from HBO where she got her first cover. It's 10 times as entertaining.

Laughable. Kathy is easy on the eyes but her acting will make your teeth hurt.

What charm it initially exhibits is quickly lost in the ugliness and laziness of yet another 80s style industrial underworld of catwalks and steam. I'll go against the grain and say I liked Kathy Ireland's overall persona and even acting style, but wished she had stayed mousy throughout the film instead of being cynically and pointlessly glammed up halfway through.
