Christina Ricci is a force of nature as the sass-mouthed, sexuality-liberated homewrecking teen. Kind of a meaner, venom-quipping early Nicole Richie before Nicole Richie was even a thing, which makes her course of destruction through the plot a joy to watch. Kudrow tries on the ice-bitch pants for the first time and shows her nuanced genius that would later resurface in her roles in The Comeback and Web Therapy.

Top badass moment? Lucia Dalury's wide range of sarcastic and sardonic comments. I can rarely come up with appropriate, on-the-spot put-downs in real life; I have to go away and think about them for 20 minutes. Being able to do this instantly is badass. "You're probably a blessing in disguise. Fucking good disguise." 0 cats and 0 decapitations.

Christina Ricci is outstanding in this film. Lisa Kudrow is also very good in this film. This film is original with a nice black comedy edge.

Not sure how well this one ages, but I loved it when I first saw it. So much more film there than I expected and so much more....heart, surprisingly. Ricci does great work (and I'm NOT a huge fan) and Martin Donovan is terrific as the quietly furious brother. Snarky, funny, touching and surprising -- quite enjoyed it!

Christina is the hottest white trash slut since Drew, and I'm just wishing she had more screen time & less narration (and how come we don't get to see when she drops her shirt?). Oh well. The scathing wit is kinda neat, but the fag/aids jokes dull after awhile, and the realism that Lisa & others lend to the picture isn't enough to carry any real feeling.
