Seen: 2. Tig is one of the driest comedians out there, and this documentary falls in line. I was happy to find out that Tig did end up having kids after all.

Tig is moderately funny and moderately likeable, but generally a quite boring subject for a feature length documentary.

It feels sort of no-nonsense look at a particularly rough year in a woman's life. It has comedy mixed in and none of it is particularly bad, it just didn't really captivate me.

I can't really add more to this review it is a great look into a personal and multi-faceted true story. I can't really say more than you really should watch this movie. Also, listen to the set its pretty great.

I don't normally like documentaries, but this held my interest.

A loosely-flowing but phenomenally-put-together portrait. It achieves its purposes very well, but given the absurdist approach that Notaro took to most everything, it should have had some more comedy in it.

The documentary about stand-up comedienne Tig Notaro starts so tragic. Then once that portion was over the documentary shifts pace to a basic journey into this one persons life and we get to know her so well. Not only that, we feel genuine happiness that she finally experience some positivity again as she's regrouping after the troubled times! That's tells you the documentary is doing a good job telling it's story, and it tells even more about what a genuine person Tig truly is.

I'm a huge fan of Tig Notaro as a performer so it was a foregone conclusion that I would love this movie. I listened to "Live!" the day after it came out and it almost made me cry in public. It's nice to know that she's doing well.

A mildly interesting story about the recent live happenings of a very funny woman. It's got some funny bits and some touching bits but that's about it.

When I selected this I thought, "well I enjoy her comedy" but then this- whatever it was- ended up being, like, the opposite of that. But it still had that in it, and by that I mean her comedy. So it fine for a while... I guess. Then I just sort of realized about halfway through that I don't really give a shit about Tig Notaro's life... like at all. Which is pretty sad because I'm 90% sure that's exactly what this-whatever it was- was trying to do.

I'll use this space to tell you that Tig is one of the funniest comedians I have seen live. If you have the chance, I suggest going to see her. Okay, back to this documentary. It's kinda sorta interesting to see a year in Tig's life, especially a year that is so fraught with pain and anguish (well, maybe interesting is not the right word in this context). I use this phrase a lot in my reviews, but it's a pretty "straightforward" documentary.

A really quite beautiful documentary about perseverance in the face of tragedy, and about how standup comedy is this brilliantly personal and evocative artform. Tig's Live is like half the reason I'm a comedian, and this movie makes a great companion piece to it.
