Fuller House

This was bad on one hand but inexplicably watchable on the other. Like, I was groaning and rolling my eyes a ton, but I still watched all thirteen episodes in less than a week. Weird, huh?

The cast got older but the jokes stayed the same. The show would be a lot more interesting if it mimicked real life - a born again and a meth head raise a bunch of kids. Hilarity ensues.

Who asked for Full House to be brought back? Probably Dave Coulier.

A nostalgic return that relies far too heavily on the original series without bringing much new to the table. The characters are familiar, but the humor feels dated and the constant callbacks quickly become repetitive. The younger cast has some fun moments, but many of the storylines feel forced and overly predictable. There is some charm in seeing the Tanner family again, but the series mostly feels like an extended nostalgia trip rather than a worthwhile continuation.

It's cheesy and corny and cringy and all of those things, but... you still kind of care about these characters. At least, if you grew up with Full House. Full House was better, but I still found this enjoyable enough to continue until it was over.

(S1-4.5) Fuller House is much more self-aware, making it more genuinely wholesome than corny. I love the balance of modern times with nostalgic splurges, and I love that the storylines from the previous show weren't tampered with, but woven in thoughtfully. These 3 girls have always been a reflection of the 3 leading men from the previous show, and I never noticed. Seasons 2-3 are the peak, and what I consider to be an oasis of happy.

watchable

I had to watch the first episode for nostalgia and curiosity reasons. Terrible.
