Stand-up is basically professionalized "that guy/girl you met on a party". This guy took off nice, but went on and on about the same infinitely small kind of crap, I had to bail out after half an hour. He doesn't have a game plan, instead pulls out random American consumer stupidity. Moreso excuses himself for talking too much on a subject or being too boring every 5 minutes. Can't create illusion of sincerity.

I remember watching some Gaffigan stuff years ago, but as of this viewing (2012) I found the humor ranging from very funny to kinda boring to annoying enough to just want to turn it off. I also remember finding his high pitched voice funny, but it just isn't doing it for me any more. If you do find that voice funny, you will love this.

It is truly astonishing how long Gaffigan can talk about food and keep it funny. I swear he does at least fifteen minutes alone on nothing but Hot Pockets. The high-pitched self-deprecating "outer-monologue" of Jim voicing the concerns of hypothetical audience members gets a bit tired at times, but he goes back to it so many times that it loops back around and becomes funny again. In terms of clean, cuss-free "family-friendly" material, there's no one better right now than Jim Gaffigan.

Quite hilarious self-depreciating humour. You can pretty much determine whether or not you're going to like him within 10 minutes. If you don't get his humour and start laughing within that time you might as well just turn it off. That said, if you do get it it's certainly a laugh riot.

Seen: 3. Classic Gaffigan. Silly, confident, and really good.

My problem with this is that I might have laughed too much early on, so later it hurt, and I found the same food jokes not as good later on.

What the fuck? This guy is awful and does the weakest kind of observational humor, you people with the high scores are bizarre. I'd prefer watching Dane Cook to Gaffigan.

Do whisper joke, it's so funny! (clearly not for me).

Gaffigan is really, really funny when he hits that special spot. I never realized how much his habit of meta audience-perspective complaints derails the flow of his material at times.

I hate his "pale guy voice" in between of the jokes but the jokes themselves are great.

Not my kind of humor and the whispers were beyond annoying

Keeps coming back to the same joke - high-pitched 'stage whisper.' Not great, but passable once

Used a lot of bits from older stuff, just more focused and expanded upon. Good though.
