There’s plot here for a decent albeit thoroughly cliched action thriller, that could have filled an hour and forty-five minutes on a hung-over sunday, but for some fucking reason they chose to make it eight excruciatingly long hours of blandness.

Has some interesting moments in the first few episodes, then starts to feel fun and ridiculous when Jai Courtney and Sean Gunn show up- but that doesn't last, it's back to a unrelenting dreary slog through the last 4 hours.

Well made but unfortunately resorts to cliches and lazy plot devices too often. Probably could have been about 4 hours shorter as well. I like Chris Pratt but this wasn't the role for him. It was too serious and he's not a good enough dramatic actor to pull this off.

I find it pretty well paced at 1.5x while doing other things. The fight scenes are fine and I switched to 1.0x at least 3 times in the series. The writing... is fine. The plot points make episodic sense and fit in the grand design - which is somewhat rare in modern TV/Movies. It isn't great or compelling, but it is pretty decent for the BS we accept in modern theater.

There's no question that it has good moments, but to me it still feels like a 2-hour film that was stretched to 8 hours because they wanted a series for Prime. Good cast, good acting, etc. Still a standard revenge story and among those not a standout. Because so much garbage has been produced in recent years, it makes this "normal" series stand out a lot, but that doesn't make it great, in comparison maybe but that's it. Definitely a conscious decision, but the lightning sucks!

Man what a show. Perfect amount of episodes tight scripts and story. Please Chris Pratt please start doing more stuff like this instead of the other Amazon products. (Reminded me of True Detective)

Excellent cinematography, acting, and tight dialogue makes this a great series; Pratt and his co-actors apparently trained or figured out how to look trained at a convincing level. One of the better things on TV; I would recommend (1) drop the rock soundtrack for ambient, (2) fewer hallucinations/flashbacks after first couple episodes, and (3) the big plot point, namely that the family death is not necessary to make the story compelling.

Chris Pratt leads a star studded cast in this mystery that keeps you guessing. It is very easy to follow despite what you may read from mainstream critics. Every piece is meticulously designed right up until the finale to keep you on the edge of your seat. Very well made series. Top notch production quality on all fronts. I cannot wait to see where this franchise will go next.

I went in not expecting too much, but I was pleasantly surprised. After the first episode ended, I was completely hooked. The next few episodes were just as good. The second half of the season imo wasn't quite as good, but it still had a pretty solid ending imo. Definitely better than expected.

SPOILERS INCLUDED::: Bottom line - this was really really good. At first, I did not like Chris Pratt in this, as he is hard to see in a serious bad ass role like this. But the last 5 or 6 episodes he played the troubled soldier very well, surprisingly well. Remember, this isn't just a story of a soldier on a revenge tour, it is the story of a soldier struggling with heavy PTSD, a brain tumor, betrayal, and terrible loss.

Feels like a Punisher season gone wrong in every way possible. Hard pass.

Sometimes TV writers from Ivy League schools really knock one out of the park...but let's be honest, that's really, VERY rare. This certainly isn't one of those exceptions. There's no life here. NONE! Whoever wrote this show hasn't lived. They've merely watched a lot of garbage melodramas and learned how to copy. Boring, cliche, and uninspired.

Typical revenge military flick. There is an interesting twist with the unreliable narrator, but Pratt doesn't really have the acting chops to pull it off convincingly. The conspiracy at the heart of the story is also very contrived. That said, I liked the varied scenarios and settings this took us through. As far as revenge porn goes, this was one of the better ones. A good time killer if nothing else.

Wow, it is hyper realistic, imagine the modern warfare campaign clean house, its like that. Series isnt too long, but the idea of a sexond series is scary. It could be like tom clancy where number 2 is shite, but as a stand alone series its a wow

Surprisingly decent action thriller. Sadly, Chris Pratt's acting isn't up to the task.
