Harlin re-edited Driven to sideline Stallone and Reynolds in favour of the younger, and thoroughly less interesting, actors. As a consequence, we are left with milquetoast characters embroiled in a boring love triangle that plays like a lame soap opera, so the car races are all sound and fury signifying zip because we have zero emotional investment in their lives. The sound is also badly mixed, rendering sections of presumably poorly written dialogue inaudible over loud racetrack noise.

Overall enjoyable flick, coming from a fan of the CART/Indycar series for a long long time. The story is probably the weakest part of an otherwise good film.

Driven was a fun movie. The plot of the movie is pretty simple. Young driver needs a experienced driver to show him how to focus on the drive. The movie goes into a lot of the pressure drivers feel when they go from minor races to major teams that expect results.
Burt Reynolds, as always, plays a great jerk. He is good a being passionate, even with a role that might not have challenged him much. Sly was alright. I have never seen him in a movie and thought he was amazing.

OK in my country this film was translated Formula 1, and I was so eager to watch it because I'm fan F1. And my God, WHY?! They maybe, I don't know must show this Driven parody or something...but it isn't... It is just so bad movie that wherever I remember some scenes from this movie I want to kill half population on Earth including me.
