Knockaround Guys (2001)
The four sons of major Brooklyn mobsters have to team up to retrieve a bag of cash in a small Montana town ruled by a corrupt sheriff. Specifically, the story gets started when Matt Demaret goes on a job to deliver the money for his mob father on the advice of his uncle. Things don't go as planned though...

Vin Diesel certainly makes a better sidekick than "star". Much better than I expected, but one should expect the unexpected, I suppose when a mob flick is set mostly in Montana. Seth Green is the best thing in the movie. By far.

Really kind of a shitty little gangster movie. Horribly cliched and terribly acted. Vin Diesel is obviously a joke, but John Malkovich is actually worse, putting on the worst accent I've ever heard. This film has not a single funny part and really not more than a few exciting parts. Kind of a waste.

Interesting variation on the usual gangster saga, examining the younger generation of today's remaining gangland dinosaurs. Good cast and offbeat setting keep this lively, but the finale doesn't entirely add up.

it's hard to find any sort of organized crime movie that's good if it hasnt been made by francis ford coppola or martin scorsese, so this one get's immediate points for that, and the utter situation that they are in is sure to ammuse. other than that it spawned one of my best friend's nicknames "marbles", you'll have to watch it to find out how amusing it is to me.

A decent plot with decent characters carried out by decent actors. All this makes for a decent movie. Nothing really stands out as being great in the movie. There are some laughs, some action and some choice dialog but nothing spectacular. With that said none of the film is bad either, just decent.

While not being completely formulaic, Knockaround Guys is cliche as hell. It's like a stock mob movie, but with guys who really shouldn't be playing mobsters (Barry Pepper's accent is horrendous).

Another mob-movie, but focusing on the new generation of mobsters coming up under the old-school mobsters from most movies. Decent corruption and action going on, with lots of dead people, so what more can you ask for in a mob film? Watch it, but don't expect anything spectacular like the mob classics.
