An incredibly fun crime movie, that only gets better as it goes along. Definitely benefits from the lower, more realistic stakes (as opposed to, say, Ocean 11's casino robbery), and the characters are all great.

A nicely structured con film with so many twists that you'll stop trying to predict them. It's very interesting how a whole lot of plot points which were commentary for Argentina's situation at the time now find themselves with much broader resonance.

A more personal take on the con genre, which is typically clogged with Oceans-11-type style-fests. It's unpredictable. The cinematography is smart and emotive. The unfolding of the titular storyline is gripping. The only minus is the too-cool-for-school shocker ending. Its tone is at odds with rest of the entire film, it feels like a cheap victory over characters that weren't totally unlikeable to begin with, and it betrays the things that endeared us to the other guy throughout the film.

Your mind is working at all times in this movie, and I really liked that. The ending was a good one, but it wasn't quite delivered properly and I cannot put my finger on why not. Excellent movie, though.

The whole time you know there is a con going on, and you find out exactly what con it is at the very end. It was sometimes interesting and the actual story is twisted. Basically, a small-time con artist and swindler who is hated by everyone gets his comeuppance. Worth watching and it has a good ending that almost makes you want to watch it again. I half expected the stamps were just ordinary stamps anyone could buy in another country.

Nice Spanish movie. For me it looks familiar with the movie "The Sting". Some criminal tricks were incredible good.

For more then half of the movie, I tried to figure out who is conning who, gave it up and enjoyed the movie after having considered all the possibilities. The ending did not come as a surprise but this does not reduce the pleasure I got out of the movie.

Laid-back and clever. Has some interesting comments on humanity, too.

Nine Queens does for swindlers what Se7en did for serial killers. It glorifies them.

Evidently good, but it's not masterpiece. Cast delivers and the plot seems playful and fun, entirely constructed with acts within acts. Con artists as real-life performers and so. But I jus't don't buy the surprise finale -- sorry, I'm a Shyamalanic and only praise twists written and directed by the goat.

Great movie, but I missed the cultural references and the Argentinian accent is hard to follow.

Enjoyable story about two cons, intricately plotted like The Usual Suspects, that tends to be more focused on the characters than the job. The misdirection here is quite good; I was sure I had picked out the one clue that would give it all away but I was very wrong.

Aimiable con-man buddy movie with some good plotting but marred for me by acting that veers a little towards a latin soap opera.

A fun script, well-paced, with two engaging leads that play well off one another, Nine Queens serves as one of the more enjoyable entries into the suspense-thriller canon of movies that make ample use of misdirection, keeping the surprises coming to the very end. The best thing about the film is its seeming joy in displaying such a wide variety of tricks--all through subtle word play and cleverly arranged circumstances.

If this is the first movie con-artists, then this would provide solid entertainment. I'd seen a ton of them before this, so I wasn't as excited about this.

Bad idea airing this during a series of Hustle. Entertaining none the less, especially as a question of conscience.

This movie wasn't bad, but if you've already seen Bluffmaster! (2005, India) be prepared for some deja vu: they (Bluffmaster!) ripped off most of this movie.
